Hansen, Karen (21 SEP 1881 – 21 MAR 1970)
Mrs. Louis Hansen, 88, of Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), died at Memorial
Hospital, Medford, Saturday morning, March 21, 1970.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church
Medford. Burial was made in the new Medford Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Karen Michelson was born in Nannessstadt, Norway, September 21, 1881,
and was educated there. She was married to Louis Hansen in September 1904. A
year later they came to Chicago until 1918, when they moved to Loyal (Clark Co.,
Wis.). In 1929 they returned to Chicago and in 1950 moved to a farm in the town
of Little Black (Marathon Co., Wis.).
Four years later they built a home in Abbotsford. Her husband died January 17,
1968.
She is survived by two sons, Alf Hansen of Chicago, and Carl Hansen of St. Paul,
and a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Margaret) Wood of Stetsonville.
There are five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
