Keller, Anton (5 JUL 1902 – 23 MAR 1970)
Funeral services for Anton Keller, 67, of route 1, Abbotsford, whose death
occurred Monday, March 23, 1970, were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at
St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), with the Rev. Francis
Brockman officiating.
Interment was made in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Keller had been ill for some time. He was admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital
at Marshfield last week and was being teated in the coronary care unit. He died
there Monday morning shortly after 7 a.m. of self-inflicted wounds. Wood county
Coroner David Bare said Mr. Keller stabbed himself twice in the chest with a pen
knife, sometime between 7:05 and 7:15, during a change of shifts in the
hospital.
Anton Keller was born July 5, 1902 in Thorp, and lived on a farm until 1958,
when he moved to Abbotsford. He was never married.
He is survived by two sisters and five brothers.
