Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Klinkhammer of Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.) announce the engagement of their daughter, Victoria Ann Gierl, to Charles Donald Palecek, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Palecek of Park Falls.

The wedding will take place in August.

Miss Gierl, a 1963 graduate of Abbotsford High School, attended Stout State University and received her degree in January 1967, with a major in Home Economics and minor in arts. She is presently employed with Head Start program at Freeport, Illinois. Mr. Palecek is a 1964 graduate of Park Falls. He was also graduated from Stout State University, Menomonie, the same time as his fiancée, with a major in Industrial Arts and a minor in Sociology. He is teaching Industrial Arts at the high school at Phillips, Wisconsin.
