Griepentrog, Dorothy Anita (21 MAR 1970)
Apricot and white streamers decorated Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer for the
wedding of Dorothy Anita Griepentrog and Kenneth James Wilhelmi. The 3:30 p.m.
ceremony on Saturday, March 21, 1970 was performed by Pastor William Ruhbusch.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Griepentrog of rout 1, Unity, and
the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilhelmi of Abbotsford (Clark Co.,
Wis.).
Maid of honor for her sister was Miss Diane Griepentrog, Abbotsford. The best
man was a friend of the groom, Kenneth Miller of Colby. Other attendants were
Judi Greenwald, Spencer, a cousin of the bride, and the bride's brother, Alan
Griepentrog, also of Spencer.
Performing the ushering duties for his sister was Roger Griepentrog of Unity,
and George Mueller of Abbotsford, a friend of the groom.
Mrs. Arnold Bruesewitz provided organ music during the ceremony. She accompanied
Mrs. Karin Hansen, who sand "The wedding Prayer" and "Where I Go Thou Goes."
Seasonal flowers of Easter lilies surrounded the red carnations were carried by
the bride. Shew as attired in an A-line floor length gown of Chantilly lace and
tissue taffeta Sabrina. Jewels adorned the neckline and the long lace selves. A
lace panel was featured in the front of the dress and the empire waistline was
completed with a bow. Her chapel train was detachable. The crown of Venice lace
with pearl and trim held her silk illusion veil.
The bride's attendants A-line apricot Karate and white organdy formals matched
their veiled headpieces. Their flowers were yellow pompons.
Festivities included a supper in the church basement and dance at the Spencer
Municipal Hall.
A graduate of Abbotsford High School, the groom is employed at Abbotsford Auto
Company. The bride, a graduate of Colby High School, has been employed at Pauly
Cheese Company They will be making their home in Colby.
Guests present at the festivities were from Minnesota, Neenah, Florence, Wausau,
Green Bay, Merrill, Menasha, Medford, Owen, Unity, Abbotsford, Colby, and
Spencer.
