Timm, Alvin H. (21 MAY 1917 – 9 APR 1970)

Funeral services for Alvin Timm, 52, were held Monday, April 13, 1970 at 1:30 at Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby. The Rev. Robert Sutherland officiated at the services. Interment was made at Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Timm, Unity, died Thursday noon, April 9, 1970 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. He had been in ill health for the last two years.

Born at Walcott, Iowa, May 21, 1917, Alvin Henry Timm married Elsie Deppe in 1939 in Muscatine, Iowa. They lived in Iowa until 1957, when they moved to a farm southeast of Unity, where they have lived since. His wife survives.

He was a member of the Unity Commercial Club.

Children surviving are Mrs. Clinton (Nelda) Schjoneman of route 1, Unity, Mrs. Orville (Verna) Barkow Jr. of Edgar, Mrs. Allen (Joanne) Smith of Greely, Iowa, Wayne of Unity, and Leslie, Carol, Connie, Karen and Arlan at home.

There are seven grandchildren.

One sister, Mrs. Walter (Evelyn) Erps, and two brothers, Arnold of Davenport and Elmer of Bettendorf, Iowa, also survive.

His mother, Mrs. Minnie Timm, is living.
