Grafton--Mildred M. Rossow, 70, of Grafton, died March 5, 1999.
Memorial services were held March 8 at St. John Lutheran Church in
Grafton.
Mildred was born July 6, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, to Adolph and
Bertha Herzog. She married Charles Rossow on December 20, 1949, in
Loyal.
The couple farmed in Owen for 16 years. After Charles' death in
1969, Mildred moved her family to Superior where she attended nursing
school. She then lived in Ashland for the next eight years and has lived
in the Milwaukee area for the last 21 years.
Mildred enjoyed crocheting and quilting, was active in the women's
auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a member of St. John's
Lutheran Church in Grafton.
She is survived by her six children, Charles (Kathy) Rossow of
Arkdale, Robert Rossow of Wisconsin Rapids, Cathy (Jim) Staples and Mary
Yung, all of Vancouver, Washington, Debra Felckowski of Albuquerque, New
Mexico and Donald Rossow of San Jose, California; 13 grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
