Mr. and Mrs. Hans J. Amacher, former owners of the Abbotsford Hardware Company,
were honored with a dinner given by their former employees at the House of Dav-Ed,
Abbotsford, Saturday evening, April 18, 1970. Forty-eight people was present.
Mr. Amacher was in the hardware business for 49 years and retired March 31 of
this year.
He was given recognition of his part in building the Abbotsford Hardware Company
and promoting Abbotsford.
The social hour was spent with stories reminiscing the past, with John Bremer
acting as master of ceremonies. Arnold Laack, the longest employed, presented
Mr. Amacher with an engraved diamond studded wristwatch, a gift from the final
employees.

and Mrs. Ronald Graffunder, Mr. and Mrs. John Bremer, Albert Busse, Mr. and Mrs.
Emil Daellenbach, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Huss, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Laack, Mr. and
Mrs. Cecil Oehler, Robert Mueller, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Waldhart, Mrs. Dorothy
Koerner, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Miller, all of Abbotsford;
Mrs. Pearl (Schwenke) Rittenhouse of Owen, Mrs. Dorothy (Kiester) Brown of Mason
city, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Donovan of Marshfield;
Mr. and Mrs. William Fahrenbach, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Sauer, Mr. and Mrs. James
Venzke, Mr. and Mrs. terry Zrutskie and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Winkel, all of Colby;
