Kersten, Paul H. (21 APR 1912 – 23 APR 1970)

Paul Kersten, a Colby (Clark Co., Wis.) native, died of an apparent heart attack at his home near Phillips Wednesday, April 23, 1970.

The funeral services were held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Phillips on Friday.

Paul H. Kersten was born at Colby April 21, 1912, and he received his education there. He was employed as a time keeper at the former Colby Canning Company, and was later transferred to an Illinois plant.

He retired in 1949 because of ill health, and since then lived at Phillips.

His wife, who survives him, is the former Janet Jens of Owen (Clark Co.). Also surviving are a son, Phillip, at Del Rio, Texas, and a daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Paulette) Anderson of Phillips, one granddaughter, and a brother and a sister.
