Jansen, Loretta Anna (30 October 1922 – 19 March 2019)
Loretta A. Jansen (nee Timmerman) of Neillsville passed away March 19, 2019 at
the Neillsville Retirement Community.
Loretta was born October 30, 1922 in Stuart, NE to Anna (nee Kramer) & Albert
Timmerman. She married the love of her life and dancing partner Frederick
“Fritz” Jansen on April 15, 1942 in Atkinson, NE. Loretta grew up in a family of
10 kids and always felt there was room for more.
In August 1959, the couple sold their farm in Atkinson, NE and moved to
Neillsville with their four living children. They farmed until 1964. After that
they worked for Marshfield Homes and once retired continued to escort homes for
many years. Their four children gave them many grand, great and great
great-grandchildren which they adored and loved to have around every chance they
got.
Loretta loved the outdoors and could often be found mowing her lawn or sitting
on her porch in the sun watching the humming birds in the feeder. She was always
busying herself with cooking, cleaning, washing, needlework, quilting and yard
work. Her love of children was for all children. Anytime she got the chance to
be around kids her face was lit with joy. Loretta was a lifelong devoted member
of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Loretta was a very loving Christian woman who outlived her husband Fritz and
five children Robert, Ralph, infant daughter Katherine, Dolores, Judy, several
grandchildren and several siblings. She is survived by a sister, brother-in-law,
two daughters-in-law and many grand, great & great-great grandchildren. She is
survived by a “special family” Logan Jansen, Lydia, Bailey & Ron Schumacher and
Beverly & Dale Reinart.
She will be greatly missed by those still here but smiling as she has once again
been united with her lifelong love & dancing partner as well as those who went
before her.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Neillsville Retirement Community
and Hospice for their care of Loretta.
A mass for Loretta will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville with Father Varkey Joseph officiating.
There will be visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at the church.
Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery Neillsville, next to her lifelong
love and dancing partner Fritz.
