Johnson, Orville Cedric (1913-21 August 1951)
Greenwood--Funeral services for Orville Cedric Johnson, 37, Roundout,
Illinois, a former Greenwood resident who died Wednesday (21 August),
were held Saturday in the Stabnow Funeral Home and Sunday in the United
Lutheran Church. The Rev. Theodore Nelson officiated and burial was made
in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Oscar, Daniel and Lawrence Olson, Arthur
Hendrickson, Delmond Johnson, and Norbert Friske.
Mrs. Nelson sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought" and "He Leadeth Me,"
with Mrs. Don Warner as accompanist at the organ.
Out-of-town people at the services included Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nichols
and son Ronald, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Parrish, St. Charles,
Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Harding and Robert, Jean Ann, and Tommy,
Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Drew and family, Viroqua; John McMahon, Mr.
and Mrs. Oliver Curry and family and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Rear and family,
Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Forrestal, Libertyville, Illinois; Mr. and
Mrs. Clarence Hendrickson, Marshfield; and other relatives and friends
from Loyal, Eau Claire, Marshfield, Colby and Granton.
