Kreklau, Amanda (26 JAN 1892 – 26 MAY 1970)
Mrs. Carl (Amanda) Kreklau died Tuesday evening, May 26, 1970 at 7:45 p.m. at
Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29 at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran
Church, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), and burial will be made in the Abbotsford
Cemetery.
The Rev. F. H Sprengler will officiated.
Friends may call at the Polnaszek Funeral Home after noon on Thursday.
The former Amanda Knief was born in Iowa January 26, 1892. Her marriage to Carl
Kreklau took place November 23, 1910.
The couple farmed in the Abbotsford area since 1935. Her husband preceded her in
death in 1956.
She is survived by three sons, Alvin of Abbotsford, Glen of Stetsonville, and
LeRoy, living in Kansas, and a daughter, Mrs. John (Marlyss) Wojiek of Ogema.
There are 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and two sisters also survive. They are Arnold Knief of
California, Manuel Knief, Henry Knief, Mrs. Mary Priebe and Mrs. Ernest (Rena)
Miller, all of Iowa.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by one child, a brother and two
sisters.
