Gary E. Meyer, serving with the Army in Cambodia, has recently been promoted to
Sergeant.
The promotion became effective April 4, 1970, although he just learned of the
advancement.
Meyer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Edblom.
He has been in the Army since February of 1969. He was assigned to Vietnam last
July, and expects to return home next month. Myer, in the air cavalry, was on
duty along the Cambodian border and was among the first American troops to enter
the country. He anticipate returning to Vietnam by June 5.
Meyer's wife and baby girl are living at Wausau.
