Krokson, Roy & Alvin
Vengeance None Too Sweet For Greenwood Boy
Greenwood, March 5---Roy Krokson, farm boy living near here, may not be
his brother's keeper-- but he does his best. A few hours after his
brother, Alvin, had been jailed on charges of abusive language,
attempted assault and resisting an officer, Roy assailed the Marshall
who made the arrest.
As a result, the brothers were reunited and both are sitting out
30-day jail sentences at Neillsville, where they had taken uopn
inability to pay the $25 fines assesses by Justice Peter Scherr.
The Krokson boys, recently returned from a CCC camp in northern
Wisconsin, were celebrating their return Saturday. Marshall Simon
Schwartz took Alvin into custody before noon and was obliged to arrest
his brother the same afternoon.
Archie Johnston (Johnstone), 17, a bystander at the second fracas,
fell and cut his hand on a piece of glass at the scene, severing a
tendon in his right hand. He was treated at the Greenwood Clinic.
