Hebert, Leo A. (19 MAY 1886 – 13 JUN 1970)
Leo Anthony Heber of Unity (Clark Co., Wis.) died at 8 p.m. Saturday at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been admitted earlier in the day.
He was 84.
Last rites were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, with the
Rev. Kenneth Dix officiating. Burial was in the town of Brighton Cemetery.
Mr. Heber had lived in Unity since 1937. He operated a farm in that area, and
also was a tavern owner.
He was born in the town of Osceola, Fond du Lac County, May 29, 1886.
His marriage to Effie Sheldon took place at Unity in 1937. She survives, along
with three sons, Glenn and Roland of Fond du Lac, and Robert of West Chicago. A
daughter, Ruby, died in 1968. There are 33 grandchildren and 62
great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Violet Hirskin of Fond du Lac.
Three sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.
