Jentzsch, Bruce A. (12 JUN 1934 - 2 APR 2019)
Bruce A. Jentzsch, 84, of Medford, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at
Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where he was taken earlier.
Memorial services will be at 8 p.m. on Monday, April 8 at Hemer Funeral Home,
Medford Chapel with Pastor Mary Jo Laabs officiating. Interment of his cremated
remains will take place at Medford Evergreen Cemetery I at a later date.
Visitation will take place at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 3 p.m. on Monday
until the time of the service.
Bruce was born on June 12, 1934 in Medford to the late Hildegard (Bizer) and
Paul Jentzsch. He attended Medford area elementary schools and was a 1952
graduate of Medford High School. He also attended UW-River Falls. On Oct. 13,
1958. in Rugby, N.D. he married Audrey T. Heier and she preceded him in death
Oct. 9, 2005. After his education, Bruce worked at the Medford Pea Cannery. He
also worked at Thorp Finance and owned/operated a grocery store in Colby for
periods of time. He owned/operated Jentzsch Mink Ranch in Medford from 1955
until March of 2019. Bruce was a huge sports fan. He enjoyed fishing, bass
fishing tournaments, hunting, watching sporting events, trips to the casino and
his dogs. He was a member of Community United Church of Christ in Medford,
National Rifle Association, Ducks Unlimited, Taylor County Sportsman’s and
Medford Mink Association.
Bruce is survived by his sons, Brian (Vickie) Jentzsch and Bradley (Jackie)
Jentzsch, both of Medford; six grandchildren, Dana (Ryan) Paul, Paula (Jason)
Johnson, Katie and Breanna Jentzsch, Amanda (Ben Yodder) Mayes and Tyler Buksa;
and eight great-grandchildren, Hank, Chet and Linus Paul, Maizy and Sabrina
Johnson, Kailyn and Gunner Mayes and Greyson Yetter.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bruce was preceded in death by a grandson,
Derek Smith in 2003; and brother, Donald Jentzsch in 1953
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be given to
the family for a future designation.
