Marquardt, Ella (2 SEP 1896 – 26 JUN 1970)
Last rites for Mrs. Ella Marquardt, 73, were Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in
Colby at 2 p.m. The Rev. David Pankow officiated, and interment was in the
Abbotsford Cemetery.
The Lulloff Funeral Home was in charge.
Mrs. Marquardt died Friday evening, June 26, 1970 at the home of her son William
at West Allis.
Members of the VFW Auxiliary held a memorial service at 7:30 Monday evening at
the funeral home. Mrs. Marquardt was a member of the auxiliary, Zion Church, and
its Ladies' Aid and Sewing Circle.
She was born Ella Krause at Sheboygan September 2, 1896, and came to Milan with
her parents in early childhood. She was married to Franklin Marquardt in
Milwaukee October 20, 1915. He died in 1966.
Surviving, besides her son, William, are three daughters, Anita, Mrs. Ray Tonn
of Milwaukee, Hildegard, Mrs. Albert Hoernke of Highland, and Wilma, Mrs. Ervin
Kowalski of Houston, Texas.
There are 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
