Freimund, Barbara Ellen (20 JUN 1970)

A double ring ceremony uniting Miss Barbara Ellen Freimund and Michael John Fasse took place Saturday afternoon, June 20, 1970, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Milan. Rev. Ferdinand Timler read the 2:30 o'clock vows.

Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Freimund, route 2, Athens, are parents of the bride, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arno Fasse, also of route 2, Athens. Mr. Freimund escorted his daughter to the altar.

A traditional wedding gown of organza and lace was worn by the bride. It had a detachable train and was styled with a fitted bodice of lace with Sabrina neckline, accented with pearls and had long, tapered sleeves of lace. The bouffant skirt had a divided overskirt of organza bordered with lace. The lace trimmed train extended into a full chapel sweep. The bouffant veil of illusion was secured to a pearl and crystal crown accented by organza bows. She carried a white orchid surrounded by red roses.

The maid of honor was Miss Sandra Fasse, sister of the groom, of Athens, and bridesmaid was Miss Marion Kohn, also of Athens. Junior bridesmaid was Tammie Wilson of Plymouth.

The attendants wore floor length formals of chiffon over taffeta styled with standup collars of lace and long sheer sleeves, the amid of honor in mint green, and the bridesmaids in maize. Their short bouffant veils were attached to headpieces of satin bows with floral clusters.

The maid of honor carried a ball of yellow and white centered daisies, and the bridesmaids' bouquets were white with yellow.

Best man was Thomas Freimund of Milwaukee, brother of the bride, and groomsmen were Thomas Weis of Colby and Steven Fasse of Athens.

Ushers were David Freimund of Spencer and Myron Westphal of Athens.

Following the ceremony a dinner was served to 175 guests at Trianon Ballroom. A reception and dance followed.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple is living at 715 1/2 N. ith Ave., Wausau.

The bride graduated from Colby High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Extension Center at Wausau. She is employed by General Telephone Company, Wausau.

The groom is a graduate of Abbotsford High School and attended North Central Technical Institute at Wausau, and is employed by American Can Company at Wausau.
