Rossow, Joyce Leona (26 December 1909-24 December 1994)

LOYAL- Joyce Leona Rossow, 84, W4266 Highway 29 State Road, Owen,
died Saturday, December 24, 1994 at Clark County Health Care Ceneter in
Owen.

Services will be Wednesday at Rinka Funeral Home in Loyal with the
Rev. Roman Kaiser officiating.

Interment will be in Loyal Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be
Bob Davel, Larry Davel, Dennis Rossow, Scott Whittemor, Chris Whittemore
and Gilbert Whittemore II.

She was born December 26, 1909 in Bonduel, to James and Leone (Frye)
Cherny and recieved her education in Luxemburg village schools.

She was married to Gilbert E. Whittemore on August 25, 1926 in
Illinois, and they later divorced in 1951. She then was married to Glen
L. Rossow on December 26, 1952, in Loyal.

After her first marriage, she was a housewife. When she divorced, she
started her own business in Loyal called Golden Goose Hatchery. When she
remarried, she and her husband operated the Green Door Bar in Loyal. She
continued to live in Loyal until entering the Clark County Health Care
Center on June 12, 1991.

She is survived by three daughters, Pauline Morick of Chicago, Nancy
(Robert) Brown of Abbotsford, and Melody (Robert) Clark of Hot Springs,
Arkansas; three sons, Gilbert (Elizabeth) Whittemore Jr. of Brainard,
Minnesota, Robert (Sharon) Whittemore of Oragne, California, and Charles
Whittemore of Colton, California; one sister, Elaine (Marvin) Howard of
Tripoli; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband on July 7, 1991; a daughter, Mary
Ann, in infancy; two brothers, Robert and Raymond Cherny; three sisters,
Beryl Harth, Violet Koskela and Ruth Davidson.
