Cummings, Delia Alice (27 May 1884-20 January 1972)
Mrs. Charles Cummings, 87, Evanston, Illinois, a former Tomahawk
resident died Thursday afternoon in an Evanston Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday in St. Barnabas Episcopal Church
in Tomahawk, with the Rev. Larry Valentine officiating. Burial will be
in Greenwood Cemetery (Tomahawk, Wisconsin). Friends may call at the
Krueger and Son Funeral Home, Tomahawk, Sunday. Eastern Star services
will be held Sunday in the funeral home, followed by a litany for the
departed.
Mrs. Cummings was born 27 May 1884 in Clark County (to Carl and
Minnie Salzwedel). She was married to Charles Cummings in Tomahawk in
1906. He died in 1965. She lived most of her life in Tomahawk until she
moved to Evanston three years ago to live with her son. She was a member
of the Order of Eastern Star, Forest Chapter 57.
Survivors include a son, Floyd, Evanston: a sister, Mrs. Otto Rossow,
Loyal; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
