SP/5 Jerome Flink, recently returned from Vietnam after a year of service with
the 3rd Squadron, 5th Cavalry, near the DMZ. In February he was awarded the
Bronze Star medal for meritorious achievement in military operation against
hostile force, from June 27 to November 26, 1969.
Following a 30-day furlough, he will be in Germany for the balance of his
service time. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Flink, former Unity residents,
now live in Wisconsin Rapids.
