Staves, William Lee (8 November 1898-7 Mar 1984)

William L. Staves, 85, brother of Matie Smith
of Neillsville died Wednesday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.

Services will be Saturday at Humbird United Church of Christ, with
burial in Mentor Cemetery, Humbird.

Visitation at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.

He was born in Jackson County and married Josephine Repplinger March
8, 1921 in Humbird. They farmed in the Humbird area until 1974 when they
moved to Sand Creek.

Also surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Vernor of San Diego and
Beverly Beyrer of Colfax; two brothers, Harry of Eau Claire and Donald
of Humbird; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
