All of the children of Anton Carlson were present at a reunion held Sunday, June 19, 1970 at the Lawrence Carlson farm, route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) His 80th birthday anniversary, which occurred July 5, was celebrated at a potluck dinner at noon.

About 77 persons attended, including his four sons and three daughters, 19 of his 23 grandchildren, all of his 19 great-grandchildren, as well as a brother and several nieces and nephews.

The children are Lawrence, route 1, Curtiss, Lloyd of Dorchester, Gerald of Scotia, New York, Raymond of Park Ridge, Illinois, Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Dahlen of Cambridge, Mrs. Edwyn (Dorothy) Rowlands of Pardeeville, and Mrs. Lloyd (Lillian) Burch of Minneapolis.

Mr. Carlson has two brothers, Arvid of Abbotsford, and Alvin of Largo, Florida, and one sister, Mrs. Alma Gore of Turlock, California.

On Tuesday morning after the reunion, Mr. Carlson accompanied his son, Gerald, to New York, where he wil stay until the end of August, when Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Carlson will go to get him.

Mr. Carlson was born in Sweden, and at the age of seven came with his parents to a farm west of Abbotsford, which is part of the farm presently owned by Arvid Carlson.

He worked for the railroad at Stevens Point and Schiller Park, Illinois, for a number of years. In 1929 he came to a farm in the town of Mayville, now owned by the William De Haan family. In 1944 the Carlsons moved to a house one mile north of Dorchester and built in Abbotsford and made their home there. Mrs. Carlson died in 1950 and sometime later Mr. Carlson went to Medford.

For the past three years he made his home with his son, Lloyd, at Dorchester. He spent the past two winters with his sister in California.
