Vanderhoof, Jay (18 April 1885-1 Mar 1962)
SPENCER--Jay Vanderhoof, 76, died Thursday morning at the Sunnyview
Memorial and Infirmary at Wausau after a lingering illness. Funeral
services will be Saturday at the Jasperson Funeral Chapel here. The Rev.
Ralph Koelemay will officiate and burial will be made in the West Spaner
cemetery.
The body is reposing at the Jasperson Funeral Home.
Mr. Vanderhoof was born April 18, 1885 in the town of Sherman. He
lived with his parents on a farm there until 18 years ago, when he came
to Spencer and worked with a Soo Line Section crew for 10 years and then
retired. He had spent the last few years at Wausau.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Archie Smith of Loyal. Preceding him
in death was a sister and two brothers.
