Gibson, Shirley M. (1938? – 8 AUG 1970)

Funeral services for Mrs. John Gibson Jr., 32, of Wisconsin Rapids, the former Shirley Mae Rasmussen, who was killed in a one-car mishap, Saturday, August 8, 1970, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford.

Clinton Goff, Duane Steinbecker and Edward Schwartz officiated, and Wilbur Stock was soloist, with Mrs. Harold Brockhaus as accompanist.

The pallbearers for the interment made in the Abbotsford Cemetery were Donald and Neal Accola, Paul Brockhaus, Charles Lilley, Richard Pearson and Allen Stockwell.

Relatives from away who attended the funeral were John Gibson Jr. and James of Wisconsin Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. John Gibson Sr. and son, Franke, of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. Mary Venzke, Donald and Ruth Ann of Wausau, Mrs. Dorothy Kuck and daughter, Pat, of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gumz and Loretta and Judy, Colby, and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Balow and family of Colby, Mrs. Francis Sorenson of Withee, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ayles of Curtiss, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rasmussen of Stanley. Friends from the area were also in attendance.
