Saturday, August 8, 1970, Connie Helfert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Helfert
of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Robert Ericson, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Ericson of St. Paul.
The 12:30 p.m. ceremony was witnessed by the Rev. Gerald Schuh at St. Louis
Catholic Church in Dorchester.
The bride's sister, Dolores Helfert, and John Ericson, a brother of the groom,
were maid of honor and best man. Carole Carlson of Minneapolis and Bill
Stadtherr of St. Paul were their other attendants.
Performing the ushering duties were Tom Ericson and Mike Ericson.
The bride, given away by her parents, was attired in a full length A-shaped gown
of silk organza with val lace. The empire bodice was fashioned with a high
neckline and long and semi-bishop sleeves were featured.
The gown was highlighted by a floor length matching mantilla with val lace.
The bridal bouquet was made up of pink roses, with green and ivy.
The floor length gowns worn by the bride's attendants, were of pink chiffon.
They were fashioned with high necklines, long sleeves, and the empire waistlines
were trimmed with pink and white flowers. They carried bouquet of white
carnations and pink roses, and wore rose buds in their hair.
Festivities following the ceremony included a reception, dinner, and a wedding
dance in the evening at the Dorchester Municipal Hall.
A 1965 graduate of Colby High School, the bride has been employed in Minneapolis
as a secretary.
The groom graduated in 1963 from Hill High School and the St. Paul Vocational
School. His occupation is tool making.
Following a wedding trip to norther Minnesota, the couple is living at 8801 W.
35th Street, St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
