Anderson, Ruth Katherine (Schoenfelder) (2 FEB 1957 - 30 MAR 2019)
Ruth Katherine Anderson, 62, of Lake Holcombe, passed away on Saturday, March
30, 2019, at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire, with her husband at her
side.
Ruth Schoenfelder was born on Feb. 2, 1957, in Chamberlain, S.D., the daughter
of Gilbert and Carol (Krell) Schoenfelder. She grew up in Kimball, S.D., before
moving with her family to Mitchell, S.D. She attended Holy Family Grade School,
Mitchell High School and later graduated from Dakota State College.
On Dec. 23, 1980, she married Charles B. Anderson in Sioux Falls, S.D. They
moved to Chicago, Ill., where she began her banking career working at First
Chicago and Bank One. In 2000, she and Chuck moved to Lake Holcombe,
establishing Porcupine Bog Tree Farm. Ruth was employed at Wells Fargo Bank in
Ladysmith as a personal banker and officer. She enjoyed taking care of her
customers and they appreciated her kind attention. Ruth was a lover of cats,
especially her beloved Jose!
Ruth is survived by her husband, Chuck, of Lake Holcombe; her mother, Carol
Schoenfelder of Mitchell, S.D.; her siblings, Jeanne (Bob) Lorenz, Chuck
(Leslie), Tom (Joyce), Dennis (Chayne Bouttilette), Dan (Doris), Karen Tollefson,
Lisa (Steve) Fisher and Paul (Lisa) Schoenfelder; her step-son, Scott (Kim)
Anderson and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Gib Schoenfelder; and brother-in-law
Herb Tollefson, Jr.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held in June 2019.
