Several propositions of such importance were discussed at the meeting of the
Advancement Association Friday evening. The progress of the work in fighting the
Pershing county proposition was received. The report of the meeting held at
Hannibal last Wednesday evening by T. W. Andresen was reported by J. W. Benn and
Ferd. Gahl.
Secretary Schmidt brought up a matter which will affect users of electricity and
read a notice for a hearing which is to be held at Madison march 31 at which
time the Medford Light and heating company will try to convince the Commission
that they are entitled to a raise in rates.
