The Merwin family held their 33rd annual reunion Sunday, August 23, 1970. About
16 relatives were present at Oak Island Park in Wausau.
Four members of the Ben Merwin family were present. They were Mrs. L.F. Loucks,
Mrs. Tony Hennlich, Howard Merwin and Ben Merwin.
A picnic lunch was served at noon. Reports were given by heads of families
concerning themselves and their children. Special news was reported on Mrs.
Ernest Merwin and family of Fort St. John, British Columbia, Canada.
The Merwin family tree was on display.
Plans were made for the 1971 reunion at Cherokee Park.
Elections of officers for the coming year were made. To succeed this year’s
president, Charles Loucks, is Ralph Remmel, Kewaskum. Vice president is Arvin
Merwin of Kewaskum. Secretary is Mrs. Harold Merwin, Abbotsford. Treasurer is
Mrs. Ruby France of Rothschild.
