Miller, Mr./Mrs. Leo (Silver – 19? SEP 1970)

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Miller were guests of honor at a reception held in their home Saturday, September 19, 1970, in observance of their 25th wedding anniversary.

The celebration was planned and sponsored by their children.

The dining and buffet tables were decorated with silver and white streamers and frosted wedding bells. A floral arrangement of pink gladiolas and white spider chrysanthemums adorned the dining table, along with the two tiered anniversary cake decorated with pink roses and silver wedding cake ornament.

A white orchid corsage with silver leaves and a white carnation boutonniere were presented to the couple by their children. A corsage of pink roses and white button mums was presented to special guest, Mrs. Nellie Miller , Jefferson, Iowa, mother of Leo Miller.

Other guests included Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Monthei (Wayne was best man 25 years ago), Mr. and Mrs. Glen Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Dunivan, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Garrity and Mr. and Mrs. Merle Ferguson, all of Jefferson, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. James Mercier, Mr. and Mrs. earl Boss, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Calley, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Herrmann and Mr. and Mrs. James Gutenberger, all of Colby, Larry Hass of Wausau.

And all of their children, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Miller, Kurt and David, Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. James (Mary) Diedrick, Ronnie and Lisa, Colby, Regina, Wausau, Sucanne, Kathleen, Janet and John, all at home, and Mrs. Robert (Teresa) Misener, Abbotsford, who husband and son, Scott, were unable to attend.

A buffet luncheon was served and cards and gifts were presented to the couple, along with a special anniversary mass at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby.
