Seehafer, Mr./Mrs. Otto A. (Gold – 23 SEP 1970)
Mr. and Mrs. Otto A. Seehafer, route 4, Marshfield, celebrated their 50th
Wedding Anniversary Sunday, September 13, 1970.
Mrs. Seehafer is the former Frieda Busse, the daughter of Mrs. Alvina Buss of
Abbotsford, now 91 years old, and the late Gust Busse. She was born at
Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.), and was educated their and lived there until her
marriage, September 23, 1920, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Seehafer, a native of Reedsville, was educated in rural schools in the town
of McMillan, and farmed on the home farm all of his life, until retirement in
1956. They now maintain a vacuum cleaner center in Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Seehafer are the parents of four sons, Milton, Clintonville, Armon,
Marshfield, Norman, Marshfield, Gordon, Stratford, and three daughters, Mrs.
Harold (Anita) Weichelt, Marshfield, Mrs. Gordon (Joanne) Kloehn, Marshfield,
and Mrs. Dwayne (Janet) Tyler, Belvidere, Illinois.
There are 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Among relatives from this area who attended the anniversary celebration dinner
at the Immanuel Lutheran parish hall, and a 3 to 6 open house at the Seehafer
home were Albert Busse, Mrs. Lorentina Busse, Mr. and Mrs. John Busse, Mr. and
Mrs. Marvin Busse and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Busse and family, all of
Abbotsford.
