Neuman, Lili Marlene (10 OCT 1970)

Zion Lutheran Church in Colby, decorated with fall mums, was the scene of the marriage of Lili Marlene Neuman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Neuman of route 1, Unity, and Thomas Darold Weis, son of Anton and the late Mrs. Weis of Spencer.

The Rev. D. T. Pankow officiated at the 3 p.m. wedding ceremony on October 10, 1970.

Ronald Boss provided the music on the organ, and Miss Julie Radlinger sang "O, Promise Me" and "The Wedding Prayer."

A friend of the bride, Miss Ella Taylor of Antigo, was her maid of honor. Her sisters, Mrs. .Larry (Suzanna) Makeef, Fall Creek, and Mrs. Randy (Sandra) Kocian of Unity were her other attendants. Tammy Sue Makeef, Fall Creek, added to the attraction as flower girl.

John Weis, Abbotsford, was the best man for his brother. Completing the groom's party were Roger Krueger, Colby, the groom's friend, and Randy Kocian, Unity, the bride's brother-in-law.

Ushering duties were performed by Wayne H. Neuman and Herman Weis, both of Marshfield.

The bride was attired in a floor length white velvet gown. Her shoulder length veil of silk illusion was held with a beaded princes crown. Sing pearls dotted the rose motifs on the eight foot silk illusion train, which flowed from the shoulders of the gown. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

The three attendants and flower girl wore emerald green velvet street length dresses. Their headpieces were green velvet bows with matching vveils. They carried white and yellow carnations.

Dinner at table decorated with fall mums in the church dining hall was served to 400 guests. A reception followed at the Unity Memorial Hall, with a dance in the evening for friends and neighbors.

The bride and groom graduated from Colby High School in 1967 and attended the North Central Technical Institute in Wausau. She attended the school there until 1969 and graduated this year.

Mr. and Mrs. Weis are living in Abbotsford and are employed bat ITT-Midwestern Life Insurance Corporation at Thorp (Clark Co.). She is a secretary and he is an accountant there.

Attending the wedding from out of town included Sgt. Larry M. Neuman of Millington, Tennessee. Other guests came from Rockford and McHenry, Illinois, Waukesha, Two Rivers, Milwaukee, Merrill, Antigo, Marengo, Humbird, Marshfield, Loyal, Spencer and Abbotsford.
