Retzlaff, Ronald Paul (15 December 1944 – 21 April 2019)

Ronald Paul Retzlaff of Willard died on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, in his home with loved ones at the age of 74 from complications stemming from his over 20-year battle with kidney disease, he was born Dec. 15, 1944, in Alabama, moving with his parents to Milwaukee shortly after. He attended Dominican Catholic High School in Whitefish Bary, where he excelled in leadership and athletics. He went on to receive his bachelor of science degree at UW-Oshkosh in 1969 and then embarked on a journey to learn more about spirituality, that included traveling across Europe and the Middle East, studying at the Arica Institute in New York and the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, C A. This led him to The Christine Center in Willard, where he served on the board of directors for 18 years. In 1989, he married Terre Retzlaff and together they had two children, Emma and Paul. As a family, they enjoyed many of Ron’s favorite hobbies of traveling, camping, kayaking and sailing together. He will be greatly missed.

Ron is survived by his wife Terre, and his children, Emma (Dillon) Poeschel and Paul Retzlaff. He is also survived by his sister Sharon (Michael) Reich.

He was predeceased by his father Paul Retzlaff and his mother Frances Retzlaff.

A celebration of his life is being organized by his family and will be held at their home in Willard June 9, 2019, beginning at 1 p.m.
