Celske, Helen Olga (Ward) (29 AUG 1929 - 18 SEP 2012)
Helen Olga Celske, 83, of Aledo, Ill., formerly of Oak Creek, died peacefully on
Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 in hospice at Casey Celske's home in Aledo, after
battling pancreatic cancer.
Helen was born on Aug. 29, 1929, in Silverdale, to Herbert and Olga (Gilani)
Ward. On Aug. 7, 1948, she married Casimer “Casey” John Celske, who was born and
raised in Ladysmith. From this union, 11 children were born. They later divorced
but recently renewed their vows and had their relationship blessed.
Helen was a devoted mother to her children and also worked as a nurses aide, a
cook, and a packer/loader for EZ Painter Corporation in St. Francis. She was a
skilled bowler, winning many awards and trophies in her youth.
She was talented at crocheting and was well known for her delicious peanut
butter cookies and cinnamon rolls. She raised numerous dogs and found much
pleasure in caring for and playing with them throughout her lifetime.
Her true joy in life came from being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and
great-grandmother.
Those left to cherish Helen's memory include her husband Casey; ten children and
spouses: Carey Celske of Ladysmith, Larry Celske of Milwaukee, Christine
Frieboth of South Milwaukee, Lynda (Tom) Edwards of South Milwaukee, Lee (Cindi)

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Evelyn Albright; her
daughter Cindy Celske, who passed away in 1976; and her granddaughter Rebecca
Nelson, who passed away in 1985.
Services celebrating Helen's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, at
Forest Hill Memorial Park Chapel in Oak Creek.
