Sossaman, Ralph L. (30 MAY 1937 - 15 APR 2019)

Ralph L. Sossaman, age 81, of Abbotsford, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019, at home.

Ralph was born on May 30, 1937, in Colby, the son of Wallace and Florence (Tessmer) Sossaman. He attended Colby High School and then entered into the Navy. He was stationed in Pensacola, Fla., where he was a jet mechanic. On Sept. 2, 1961, he was united in marriage to Wilma Fenner at Spencer Methodist Church. In 1964 they moved to Abbotsford. Ralph was a mechanic at Midway Auto, Colby, until he opened his own business.

Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and camping with his brothers, as well as restoring Cushman scooters.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Wilma of 57 years. He is also survived by one sister, Dixie (Ken) Ingersoll.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Floyd (Red), Darrell (Bill), Claude (Corky), Herman (Herm), Douglas (Skip); one sister, Phyllis (Joy); and many nieces and nephews.

Ralph’s wife wants to thank Hope Hospice for the excellent care that was given to Ralph during his final days at home. And to Ralph’s niece, Audrey Hopfensperger, who was there during the final moments.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
