Mr. and Mrs. Roland Potts held an evening surprise party for their son, Roland, and his fiancé, Miss Barbara Pond, Milwaukee, on Thanksgiving Day. The couple announced their engagement on Miss Pond's birthday anniversary, Thursday, November 26, 1970.

Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wilson, Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Barenbach, Rozellville, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Potts, Athens, Mrs. Wayne Gregory, Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Potts, Wausau, Dennis Boss, Curtiss, the host and hostess and the honored couple.

Entertainment included visiting, card playing and dancing. The newly engaged couple received many gifts. Lunch was served.
