Remodeling is not complete but the store is going to open today, says Ray Gurtner, Unity, of Gurtner's Food Market. Even though there is more to be remodeled, the food market opened its doors at 8 a.m. today.

Ray and Janet Gurtner purchased the former Gib's Market in December and have been planning for the new operation.

Gurtner was formerly manager of the meat department of a Red Owl store at Brown Deer, for eight years. He is a meat cutter by trade, and is also experienced in making sausage and pica.

Mrs. Gurtner also worked in the meat department of a food store.
