At an 8:30 p.m. wedding ceremony on December 18, 1970, Barbara J. Frome became
the bride of Eugene D. Frane of Marshfield.
Father Rushman officiated at the marriage at St. Mary's Catholic Church in
Colby.
Sister Patricia provided music on the organ during the wedding and Sister Karen
sang.
Barbara is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Frome of route 2, Colby (Clark
Co., Wis.), and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Frane of route 1,
Colby.
Attending the couple were their friends, Suzanne Zuber, Colby, and Vernon
Shannon of Marshfield.
The floor length informal bridal gown was of candlelight crepe styled with a
molded empire bodice having a high ruffled neckline of matching sheer chiffon.
The bishop sleeves were of candlelight chiffon edged with ruffle. Narrow bands
of harmonizing shades of Venice floral braid detailed the neckline and cuffs of
sleeves and encircled the waistline. Her veil with a short hand rolled hem was
secured to a starched lace cap embroidered with pearls and crystals.
The bride carried a bouquet of red roses and pink carnations.
Miss Zuber wore a formal of willow green floral print of velveteen and matching
chiffon designed with a fitted empire bodice. Featured was a high neckline inset
with a ruffle of willow chiffon. Her headpiece of layered flat velvet bows
centered with a Venice trimmed loop was finished with a jet veil. Her flowers
were a miniature bridal bouquet of red roses and pink carnations.
A wedding reception for 150 guests was on the following Sunday, December 20, at
the Colby City Hall.
Both 1969 graduates of Colby High School, the groom is the assistant manager of
Kentucky Fried Chicken in Marshfield. The bride is employed as a unit clerk at
St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Frane are living at 309 East 25th Street, Marshfield.
