Army Chief Warrant Officer Donald J. Osborne, son of Mrs. Kathryn Osborne,
Detroit, Michigan, recently received the Bronze Star Medal during ceremonies
near Phuoc, Vihn, Vietnam.
He was presented the Bronze Star for distinguishing himself through meritorious
service in connection with military operations against hostile forces in
Vietnam, according to the U.S. Army.
The medal, adopted in 1944, recognizes outstanding achievement.
Warrant Officer Osborne received the award while assigned as a motor officer
with the 228th Aviation Battalion, First Cavalry Divisions (airmobile).
Osborne entered the Army in 1955 and was last stationed in Wilmington, Ohio. His
wife, Chang, lives in Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.).
