Dick, Orpha Bell (14 FEB 1904 – 29 OCT 1974)
Mrs. Floyd (Orpha) Bell Dick, 70, died at the Colonial House of Colby on
Tuesday, October 29, 1974, where she had been making her home.
Services will be held at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home on Friday, November 1st
at 1 o’clock, with burial at Riverside Cemetery near Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).
The Rev. Eugene Antrim will conduct the service and friends may call at the
Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today (Thursday).
The former Orpha Ball (?) was born February 13, 1904 at Whalcheer, Iowa. Her
marriage to Floyd Dick took place in Kankakee, Illinois on May 13, 1952 (must be
1922). They moved to rural Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1923 and farmed there
until 1941, when they moved to Harvey, Illinois, where they farmed until 1963.
They then moved to Somerset, Kentucky and in 1970 moved back to Withee. Mr.
Dicks preceded her in death on December 21, 1969.
Surviving her are a son, Albert (Dale) Ball, Withee, and a daughter, Mrs. Robert
(Helen) Tullie of Skokie, Illinois; a sister, Edna Poznanski of Waupaca; four
brothers, Glen, Howard, and Homer Rubin of Withee, and Alfred Durbin of Owen.
