Owens, June Marie (Marriage – 23 August 1975)
June Marie Owens and Richard Lee Severson exchanged marriage vows Satruday,
August 23, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Thorp. The Rev. Robert W. Olson
officiated at the 7 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Owens,
Jr., Loyal, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Severson, Greenwood.
The bride’s white empire-waist gown was trimmed with re-embroidered lace and
fashioned with baby doll sleeves. She carried an arrangement of blue roses and
white gladioli as she was presented in marriage by Jack Pryer of Riplinger.
Mrs. Sandra Colby, Loyal, matron of honor, was dressed in pink and Miss Virginia
Owens, Eau Claire, the bridesmaid, in yellow. Their identically-styled
empire-waist gowns featured bell sleeves and re-embroidered lace trim. Each
carried a single, long-stemmed rose in a color to match her dress.
Dennis Thomas served as bestman and Erik Thomas, as groomsman, Both are of
Milwaukee. Kenneth Severson, Stratford and Dale Severson, Curtiss, seated
guests.
Richie Much, Loyal, was the ringbearer and Renee Churkey, Stevens Point, the
flower girl.
The soloist was Diane Mamayek. Jodene Losiewicz was the organist.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds greeted guests at a reception at the
Meadowview Country Club in Owen.
Mr. and Mrs. Severson are making their home on Rt. 2 Mosinee. He is employed by
a Mosinee firm.
