Knab, Ardell E. (6 SEP 1947 – 13 NOV 2019)

Ardell E. (Hopperdietzel) Knab, 91, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, in Conrad, Mont.

She was born Dec. 12, 1927, in Athens. Ardell married Chester Knab on Sept. 6, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minn.

Ardell worked as an LPN at the Liberty County Nursing Home for 20 years. She enjoyed both bowling and golf. In her later years she loved to crochet. Ardell’s favorite pastime was playing cards, especially Hand and Foot with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Chester Peter Knab; children: Faith (John) Violett, Linda (Sidney) Bartell, Karen (Richard) Anderson and Mark Knab; grandchildren: Michael and Martin Alley, Michelle Taubenburger, Rachel Pavalonnis, Stephen O’Donnell, Jamie Cory, Carrie and Cole Anderson, Abigail and Sarah Knab; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings: Barbara Dolley, Arlon (Jean) Hopperdietzel and Emily (Ron) Brindle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lillian Hopperdietzel; siblings: Alice Hambert, Nila Raesler, Elva Krombholz, Muriel Berghammer, Gordon Hopperdietzel and Rosemarie Williams.

A memorial service will be in spring 2020.
