Shirk, Orpha M. (25 DEC 1966 – 21 OCT 2019)
Orpha Mae Shirk, age 52 years, 9 months and 26 days, of the Town of Green Grove
passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019, at her residence with her family by her
side.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Clark View
Mennonite Church in the Town of Longwood. Randall Martin, Elvin Hoover, Paul
Wesley Oberholtzer and Jerry Brubaker officiated. Pallbearers were Anthony
Shirk, Jordan Shirk, Mark Oberholtzer, Kyle Shirk, Lawrence High and Quinton
Shirk . Visitation was on Friday, October 25, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the residence (N14275 Cardinal Avenue).
Orpha was born on December 25, 1966, in East Earl, PA, the daughter of David R.
and Annie W. (Zimmerman) Stauffer. She received her education from Crossroads
Mennonite School in East Earl, PA. Orpha was united in marriage to Vernon Ray
Shirk on November 3, 1987, in East Earl, PA. She was a homemaker and stayed at
home to take care of the children.
Orpha is survived by her husband, Vernon Ray Shirk of Owen; her six children:
Anthony (Rachel) Shirk of Withee, Jordon (Sharon) Shirk of Thorp, Lynette (Mark)
Oberholtzer of Loyal, Kyle (Carol) Shirk of Neillsville, Katrina (Lawrence) High
of Stitzer and Quinton Shirk of Owen; eleven grandchildren: Wesley, Devon,
Nelson, Loren and Jerald Shirk; Rosa Mae, and Sharla Shirk; Kaitlyn, Charlene
and Jolene Oberholtzer; and Cay lee Shirk.
Orpha is further survived by five brothers: Neil (Carolyn) Stauffer, Ernest
(Deb) Stauffer, Clair (Judy) Stauffer, Carl Stauffer and Glenn (Julie) Stauffer;
and two sisters: Anne Stauffer and Verna Stauffer.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Alma Z. Stauffer.
