Candahl, Caroline (11 OCT 1884 – 27 FEB 1975)
Services for Mrs. Caroline Candahl, 90, of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), were held at
1:30 p.m. Monday at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Mrs. Candahl
died at 9:45 p.m., Thursday, at the Neillsville Memorial Home.
The Rev. Lester Kringle, pastor, officiated. Burial was made in Nazareth
Lutheran Church Cemetery at Withee (Clark Co.).
Serving as pallbearers were Gary Candahl, Dennis Candahl, Richard Berry, Bill
Van Zile and Einar Andersen.
The former Caroline Andersen was born October 11, 1884 in Jutland, Denmark. She
came to the United States in 1914 and settled in Withee. Since 1920, she had
resided in the city of Owen.
Mrs. Candahl has been employed by the Owen Canning Company and also did
practical nursing for Dr. Dike in Owen.
She was married June 21, 1905 in Denmark.
Survivors include a son, Ernest, Genoa; a daughter, Mrs. Mable Van Zile,
Sturgis, Michigan; a brother, Sam Andersen, Owen; eight grandchildren and
fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, a daughter, a brother and two grandsons.
