Williams, Anna (9 JUL 1907 – 28 APR 1975)
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in
Owen for Mrs. Anna Williams, 67, of Plymouth, formerly of Withee (Clark Co.,
Wis.). She died at 2:45 p.m. Monday (28 Apr 1975) at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Marshfield, where she was admitted April 7.
Officiating will be the Rev. Paul Nelson of Arpin, Evangelical Chaplain at St.
Joseph's Hospital. Burial will follow in Nazareth Lutheran Church Cemetery at
Withee.
The former Anna Beck was born July 9, 1907, in Denmark, and came to the United
States on the Lusitania at the age of 1 1/2 years. She received her education in
Withee and was married there May 2, 1942 to Waldo Williams. He died January 19,
1962.
After their marriage the couple moved to the Villa Park, Illinois area. She
worked for Marshall Fields there as an office clerk from 1962-72., when she
moved to Plymouth.
Survivors inclue a step-son, Bruce Williams, Schaumburg, Illinois; a
step-daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Wilda) Gilchrist, Hampton, Iowa; a sister, Miss
Helen Beck, Plymouth; six brothers, James Beck, Milwaukee, Peter Beck,
California, Chris Beck, Withee, Frederick Beck, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Hans
Beck, Camp Douglas, and Alfred Beck, Racine; and four grandchildren.
