Three retiring members of Med-State Technical Institute faculty were honored at the spring Faculty Dinner at the Wisconsin Rapids Elks Club, April 25, 1975.

Among the honorees was Clarence Madsen, a Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) native, who has been district-wide Driver Education and Safety Instructor since formation of the Mid-State VTAE District in 1970. He had served in the same capacity for the Steven Point Vocation School since 1957. He graduated from Central State Teachers College, Stevens Point, In 1933, and was a garage mechanic until beginning his teaching career.
