Voigt Named Junior Kiwanian (December 2019)
Neillsville High School student Riley Voigt has been named the local Junior
Kiwanian for December.

The Neillsville Kiwanis Club named local high school senior Riley Voigt as the
junior Kiwanian for December.
Voigt is the daughter of Tim and Sue Voigt.
“She brings with her an impressive list of academic, extracurricular and
athletic achievements during her high school years,” the club’s Brent Shoup
wrote in a press release.
Voigt is a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. She
is an officer in the Spanish Club and participates in Being a Leader and
Standing Tall (BLAST).
Voigt has also received multiple athletic letters. In athletics, she has served
as a manager for the softball team, has run on the track team and is a four-year
member of the basketball and volleyball squads.
She has also been involved in the community with activities such as volunteering
for recreation department activities. She has also waitressed at Strike Time
Lanes and Schmitty’s on Main.
“The Junior Kiwanian program gives recognition to outstanding students like
Riley Voigt who have demonstrated strong academic achievement, shown good
leadership qualities and strive to make use of their talents,” Shoup said.
“Through their participation in the Junior Kiwanian program, students are
provided an introduction to the concept of a service organization such as
Kiwanis, which encourages active participation in the community throughout the
lifespan.
“The Neillsville club wishes her continuing success in her future endeavors.”
Following graduation, Voigt plans to attend the University of Wisconsin at La
Crosse or Madison to major in speech
