Erikson, Bror G. (10 NOV 1906 – 15 MAY 1975)
Bror G. Erikson, 68, Route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 1:20 p.m..
Thursday at Neillsville Memorial Hospital.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen .
Officiating was the Rev. Steven J. Harsenstein, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran
Church in the Town of Green Grove. Burial followed in the church Cemetery (Colby
Township – St. Paul Lutheran)..
Mr. Erikson was born November 10, 1906 in Sweden and came to the United States
as a small child with his parents. The family settled in Nebraska, and from
there moved to Red Wing, Minnesota. He later farmed in the Stratford-Auburndale
area for several years before coming to the Curtiss area. He was employed here
by L.C. Christensen Company.
He married the former Ella Schmidt on July 20, 1930, at Edgar. She survives.
Other survivors include six sons, Duane, Genoa City, Gerald, Richmond, Illinois,
Kenneth, Curtiss, Donald, Hartford, and David and Allen, both of Colby; three
daughters, Mrs. Galen (Shirley) Erdman, Colby, Mrs. James (Jeanette) Kalson, San
Antonio, Texas, and Mrs. James (Mary Ann) Foerester, Woodstock, Illinois; a
sister, Mrs. Mary Rice, Woodstock, Illinois; two brothers, Edward, Genoa City,
and Arthur, Spring Grove, Illinois, and 21 grandchildren.
