Averill, Todd V. (19 October 1963 – 6 January 2020)
Todd Averill, 56, of Neillsville, passed away at home surrounded by family on
January 6, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Todd was born on October 19, 1963 to Ralph and Carol Averill in West Bend. Todd
has three daughters Brittney, Alexis and Abigail. He loved being a father and
would do anything for his children. Anyone who knew Todd knows the abundance of
knowledge that he possessed about just about anything. He will forever be looked
up to and remembered for his willingness to help others and sharing his
knowledge with others.
After graduating from West Bend West High School in 1982, he went on to study
Nondestructive Testing at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire. After
graduation, he landed his first job as an inspector for the Jim Falls Hydro Dam.
Then moved to Minneapolis where he accepted a job with Progress Castings as a
Quality Control Inspector and then moved into Foundry Engineering. He then
accepted a job in Syracuse, NY at an aluminum foundry. After working there for
about a year, Todd decided to move back to Neillsville, to raise his family. He
worked in HVAC for many years before switching his interests to Wastewater
Management.
Todd enjoyed spending much of time at the family lake house on Lake Camelot in
Nekoosa, WI doing various things including fishing, boating, and sitting around
the fire listening to sports. Todd also enjoyed spending time cooking, doing
yard work, building various wooden projects, playing cribbage, and spending time
with his family and friends.
Todd was extremely grateful for the support that his daughters, brothers, mother
and friends have provided him throughout this extremely hard journey.
Todd was predeceased by his father Ralph Averill, younger brother Kim Averill,
Grandparents Frank and Elenore Gengler and Vincent and Cecelia Averill.
He is survived by his mother Carol Averill, brothers Ralph Averill, Terry (Beth)
Averill, Jeff (Roxanne) Averill, Jay Averill, three daughters Brittney, Alexis,
Abigail, special little friend Aubree Lewis, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
