Sue Ann Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Young Jr., Route 2, Colby (Clark
Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her father June 27, 1975, to Michael Gosse,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gosse, Route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co.).
The 7 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Frank P. Rushman at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church, Colby. Nuptial music was provided by Cheryl Schultz, organist,
and Linda Schultz, soloist.
The bride wore a long white gown accented with lace down the front and around
the waistline, with a white lace train. She wore a chapel length veil and
carried a bouquet of white carnations, roses and lilies of the valley.
Peggy Gosse, sister of the bridegroom, Curtiss, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Nancy Young, Colby, sister of the bride, and Brenda Gosse,
sister of the bridegroom. They wore dresses made of flocked material in pink,
blue, and yellow, respectively, accented with lace trimming, and carried a
single rose matching the color of their dresses.
Mike Poehnelt, Abbotsford, friend of the bridegroom, was best, man, and William
Young III, Colby, both of the bride, and William Gosse, Curtiss, a brother of
the bridegroom, were groomsmen for the bridegroom.
Robert Gosse, brother of the bridegroom, and David Baumgartner, cousin of the
bride, performed ushering duties.
A reception followed at Dorchester Memorial Hall.
Mrs. Gosse is a 1974 graduate of Colby High School and is employed as a
secretary aide for the Colby Public Schools. Her husband, a 1972 graduate of
Colby High School, works for Packaging Corporation of America in Colby.
The couple resides on Maplewood Terrace in Abbotsford.
