Jagodzinski, Clara M. (6 FEB 1896 – 29 AUG 1975)
Services for Mrs. Clara M. Jagodzinski, 79, of La Crosse, formerly of Owen
(Clark Co., Wis.), were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home
in Owen. Mrs. Jagodzinski died at 3:15 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Marshfield, where she had been admitted August 20.
Officiating was the Rev. Roger Tellock, pastor of St. Paul's American Lutheran
Church in Curtiss. Burial was at Withee Riverside Cemetery.
The former Clara Miller was born February 6, 1896 at La Crosse. Her marriage on
December 2, 1915 at La Crosse was to Paul Jagodzinski. He died December 8, 1967.
The couple moved to Owen in 1920 and farmed in the Town of Green Grove (Clark
Co.) until 1951 (? – the 1 was not clear, so maybe some other number). They then
returned to La Crosse.
Survivors include two sons, Donald, Milwaukee, and Arnold, Owen; three
daughters, Mrs. Leon (Marjorie) Buchholz, McFarland, Mrs. Joe (Emily) Makovec,
Owen, and Mrs. Arthur (Lillian) Van Ruth, Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Mrs.
Helen Huebner and Mrs. Anna Harnisch, both of La Crosse; 19 grandchildren and 14
great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth, two
sons, a sister, three brothers and two granddaughters.
Serving as pallbearers were Frank Makovec, Jim Carlsen, Ron Wolf, Carl Haemer,
Bob Steffers, and Carl Knecht.
